The short version of this list is on the front page. This is the whole thing.
No. Buy all three apps once for $24.99, with updates through Crest 7, or subscribe for $2.99 a month or $14.99 a year and get every update while you subscribe. A one-time licence works offline and is never switched off, unless the payment is refunded or charged back. A subscription runs while it is paid, with 30 days of grace offline.
On your account page, open Billing and press Manage subscription. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. After that Crest goes back to its free tier and keeps every setting and layout.
Each licence is for your personal use on up to 2 Macs. Your account lists every licence you own and how many seats are in use. Sign in inside the app on a second Mac and it takes the second seat by itself.
Yes. Paddle, our reseller, takes cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. There is also a crypto option in the same checkout window, which issues an invoice and activates your licence when the payment confirms.
Email contact@crestnotch.app within 7 days of your purchase and tell us what went wrong. We refund when an app does not do what the site says, will not run on a Mac that meets the published requirements, or was bought twice or by mistake. We may decline when an app has already been used to do the job it was bought for, or when no reason is given. Crest has a free tier and all three apps have a 7-day trial, so please try first. It covers every purchase, once or by subscription, and the full policy is on the legal page.
Buying creates your account and sends one link that sets your password. Check spam first, because that one email is the whole handoff. If it is not there, write to contact@crestnotch.app from the address you paid with and it gets fixed by hand, usually the same day.
Paddle, our reseller, emails the receipt to the address you paid with as soon as the payment goes through, with the tax shown. For a company invoice, use Add tax number in the checkout: your company name, address and VAT or tax number go on the invoice. Every invoice can be downloaded again from your account page. Missed it, or need a detail changed? Write to contact@crestnotch.app from the address you paid with.
Not to download any of the apps, and not for Crest's free tier. You sign in inside the app when you start a trial or when you buy, because licences live on your email and signing in is what unlocks them. A purchase makes the account for you, on the email you pay with.
Check spam, then use the resend link on the account page. Confirmation links are good for 24 hours. If the address had a typo, sign up again with the right one: an unconfirmed account can be replaced safely.
Use the forgotten-password link on the account page. The reset email goes to your address, and the reply you see is deliberately the same whether or not an account exists, so nobody can use that form to find out who has one.
Yes. Sign in inside the app on the new Mac and it activates. If both seats are already used, write to contact@crestnotch.app and the old seat gets released.
Nothing. Your licence keeps working forever, with free updates for life, and nobody will ask you to subscribe. Sign in with the email you bought with and it appears in your account next to anything new you pick up.
Crest runs on any Mac on macOS 14 or later: on a MacBook with a notch it lives in the notch, and on any other screen, a MacBook Neo included, it sits in a small pill at the top. Take runs on any Mac on macOS 14 or later. Minutes requires macOS 26 or later on Apple Silicon, because its transcription and summarization use Apple's built-in models.
All three apps are signed and notarized by Apple, so the usual right-click-to-open workaround should not be needed. If macOS still refuses, the download was probably interrupted: delete it, empty the Trash and download again. If it happens twice, write in and say which macOS you are on.
Only for the widget you are using, and each request says so in the dialog. Calendar for your next meeting and the one-tap join. Reminders for todos. Bluetooth for device batteries. The microphone for the pre-meeting mic check and the teleprompter's follow-my-voice scrolling. The camera for the pre-meeting camera check. Deny any of them and that one widget goes quiet, while the rest keeps working.
Yes. You need internet once, to activate. After that every feature runs offline. A subscription checks in now and then, and keeps working offline for 30 days of grace. Minutes never sends audio or text anywhere, online or not: transcription and summaries run on Apple's on-device models.
Each app checks for its own updates and can install in place, and every app's settings has a Check for updates button. If you bought before subscriptions began, every update stays free for life. A new one-time licence includes updates through Crest 7, and a subscription includes every update while it runs.
Quit the app and drag it from Applications to the Trash. Your files stay where they are: recordings are .mov files in your Movies folder and meeting notes are Markdown in their own folder, both readable without any of our software. Delete those yourself if you want them gone.
A real person reads these: Zakaria Swaidan, who wrote the code. Say which app, what happened and what you expected, and you save a round trip.
Or email contact@crestnotch.app directly. Same inbox.
Nothing appears here until it is approved, and a verified badge means the address matches a real licence. We do not write these.

Esuna app super fluida y muy bonita!
This is the most complete solution I've ever seen for the Notch "problem."
You made a great app. I love how I can separate work and home spaces, creating a clear distinction between the two. I haven't found anything else bothersome, and I love how you update it regularly.
it has helped me a lot with keeping up with my calendar and keeping my screenshots for easy access
Best MacBook notch application I've found.
Was first drawn to Crest. I have tried 426 different "notch apps" and Crest is the one I have enjoyed using the best. With the integration into Crest that Minutes and Take has, I have one pane of glass into 3 productivity apps that I use all the time. Zack is responsive and gracious when I bombard him with questions.
great app! worth every penny
Simply, a productivity companion
Crest primarily got my attention due to its Claude Code integration, Take and Minutes I primarily use for meetings and planning!
I like the aesthetic, I mainly use for media control and AI development. Claude works great in it!
It's amazing, gives useful information on the notch and stays out of my way also.
doesnt work perfectly on my notch, the area detection is quite poor
Each app keeps its own history, and the same text appears inside the app under What's New.
Stars and a few honest words. It goes live once we have read it. If your email matches a licence it gets a verified badge.
Thank you. It is in the queue and goes up once it has been read.
